Do you need hosting to cloak a website?

Hi,
I'm working on a project where I sell a clickbank product. I want to get a custom domain and cloak the clickbank link. I'm guessing you need your own hosting for the cloaking, but I know you can redirect it without hosting. Is there anyway you could cloak it without hosting? I'm on a tight budget, that's why I'm asking.

You can always use url shorteners.

Cheers
But it doesn't look as professional for my purpose, plus it doesn't cloak the URL which is what I asked for.

Through your own domain is the best. You can get a domain and a year hosting with coupons for ~12 usd. Not bad for a year.

Cheers

BTW cloaking is much wider term than you think. You better tell what you want to do exactly (spoof referer, hide referer, make url look better, show exact url but other content) cause this way finding solution for you is way easier.

Cheers
