Even if your article has 20%-25% plagiarized content you are good to go.
Been doing autoblogs for years and I have had articles with even 35% plagiarized content indexed and top 20 Serp ranking.
If it's a serious project an authority site better to get 100% unique content.

It's a mostly serious authority site I'm trying to build... so I just wanted to make sure passing copyscape was good enough!

I would check on quetext too as it’s way better than copyscape So don’t rely on one tool entirely

Copyscape is the industry standard for years some love it some hate it and there are also some good alternatives but copyscape still is the preferred one.

Someone just mentioned Quetext...I think it is the best alternative to Copyscape

Advego Plagiatus - take screenshots and translate the Russian buttons with Yandex Translate ORC, then it's straightforward to understand and use. Its got an excellent detection rate.
