Hey, quick question..

Just say you have a newish website, do you manually index every new post inside GSC? Or do you let it index manually?

I ask this because it's been a week or so and it's still not indexed, or in GSC.

Cheers

Where I can - I get new posts shared via various social platforms. This appears to help with indexation - sometimes ;-)

I just do a post & forget about it, the best way. If it's good & of value it will rank.

It depends, if I am posting multiple post per day, I'll let Google do its thing. But if I am only posting one post per day, I'll use the manual method. But, at the end of the day, it depends on how frequent you post, you post plentiful of good articles per day/week, Google crawls frequently.

I have found that simply by posting the content gets indexed at some point, usually really fast, particularly if you have previously indexed content on your site that links to it. In any case, I usually don't have to do anything, Google just indexes every unique/original post sooner or later.

It is not really the fact that Google is aware of a new post or not, it is rather that it seems to want to delay the indexing of certain platforms ...
For example Tumblr, whatever you do it takes a long time to index a Tumblr blog, even if you build levels on it.

I think Google is focusing on some popular platforms in the SEO world, and makes sure to delay their development as much as possible.

Thanks for your replies, yeah I will just let google index it itself. If it hasn't indexed it after a few weeks then I will do it through search console.

I think the best way to get attention from Google is by submitting your sitemap to Google via Search Console.

If it's a few posts I would share it on social media(high traffic sites) or interlink with my indexed post for indexation. But if the post is unique and quality one, it will be indexed naturally.

yeah jus post it
then link ti pinterest, fb and twitter automatically
Then sit back and go to the next article

It's better to submit your sitemap to the GSC it will help you for indexing. And also try to share the pages on high traffic sites.

If nothing wrong with the content, you need not index manually, might take some time, but google itself will index.

It will get indexed at some point anyway.
I tend to ping certain posts and videos, but also add social signals.
