Do you make money without exposing yourself?

Often times I have ideas for business opportunities but I would expose myself doing it, ie share details that others could use against me.
I came to it by evaluating my interests to find business ideas tailored to me.
I figured the topics

How to cope with <disease>
How to handle mental health
How to paint

Now, I've been mistreated by countless people in my life and often looked for solutions on how to stand up for myself and there were only vague and incorrect solutions that I found.

Therefore I don't want to show more weakness and give people another shot at doing harm to me.

Whenever I had a new idea and I shared it with friends, they said: "yeah, doing this is socially risky". And when I reviewed it, I saw their point.

It made me consider everything I do to be weak, like those people on TV who say "I have black friends" to by no means alienate people.

On the other hand of the spectrum is the founder of ashleymadison, who seems bulletproof. He could probably run a pedophilia enterprise and get away with it.

And yes, I view people who vlog or share their life in videos do something risky for their future. But some seem to not be vulnerable even though they share their emotions, I don't get how they do it.

On the other hand, can you even produce something that you enjoy but that - at the same time - does not expose you? Maybe starting a ransomware-business...

It seems like any of my interests make me a target, like those gay guys who are into makeup. Then you ask them "okay, what else do you like? Adele and women empowerment books."
Probably the only content I could be comfortable with is martial arts, so I by no means show weakness. But I am not good at them and therefore I don't enjoy them.

And what I enjoy yet again makes me a target.

Do you make money without exposing yourself or if you do expose yourself, how do you avoid making yourself a target or how do you handle being a target to an anonymous, possibly worldwide crowd?

Dude its simple. Stop being a pussy. You care too much about what people think. In my personal life i have this "bulletproof" characteristic you speak of.

How? Because I dont give a fuck what people have to say. They want to try and debate me Ill win because I know what I am talking about in regards to my situation. I have thought it through, probably more than the person approaching me with some bullshit, and they probably arent as smart as me. Because if they were, they would approach me a different way.

And if someone wants to get physical, because of some bullshit they might perceive, we can do that too. Because Ill create a situation to where i beat their ass and get away with it, legally. Arrest me, I wont say shit, ill get a lawyer and say I was in fear of my life - the magic words.

Stop giving a fuck a dude. Who the fuck are these people anyway? Just more losers you have come across in your life that probably have room temp IQ - considering most people are average.

You think id give a fuck what some idiot says to me in a comment section on YT if i was YT famous? No, id roast them and give them what they gave me - if i feel like it. And ya, you could say "why waste your energy on that person" - because I fuckin want to, mind your fuckin business and worry about yourself.

This is why i would be bulletproof if i was some type of public figure. Because I dont give a fuck and no one will be able to tell me different because they arent on my level.

I suggest your next journey/book/service:
"How to be vulnerable and powerful at the same time..."
"Find your own way. Stop taking/waiting for others feedback."

Another suggestion (that you should be free to reject/choose):
how about you try some of the Martial Arts that combine 'weakness' and 'power'. Maybe something like Aikido.
It could help you translate some of that attitude in real life, if you choose/want that.

On another note, if your business ideas revolve around books for example, you can get an alias and go with that. Build your brand without showing your face/ in person. Promote online.

They got Al Capone over a few hundred in taxes. The hundred of murders and running a criminal enterprise wasn't a problem. Owing the state a few hundred literally killed him. Anyone who isn't afraid of the IRS is a giant fool.

I should add more advice about not being a target: Don't stand out.
I swear I'm not joking. When I do eBay I never let too many sales accrue on one account. If you make 40k in a few months people will notice. Some will try to screw you and the rest try to take your business. I don't drive flashy cars for the same reason(despite $).

I let others take credit and brag with my achievements, I find it hilarious when someone gets himself in trouble just because he can't keep his mouth shut when they have a good thing going on.

at 22 i was one of the owners of the most popular nightclubs in my country, and if you have ever worked in that industry you know that it can get dangerous. People asking protection money, threatening you, the competition waiting for you to make the slightest mistake so they can fuck your business. We had high class clients, only because we dint allow the thugs inside, but this made the night club and anyone associated with it a target for these people.

I never exposed myself as being one of the owners, the idea was to make people think that the nightclub is owned by some powerful people, and for years it worked. Eventually, the administrator started hinting to hoes that he is the actual owner, then he started bragging to everybody, and we let him. For an entire year he was on top of the world, being friends with the richest people in the country, hoes doing everything they could so he noticed them.

Life was good, but after a year everything went downhill, we had to close the nightclub and this fucker had to flee the country due to debts and other problems caused by his big mouth ( he never came back ). Guess who stayed and even opened another company without anybody else noticing....

When people ask me what I do for a living, I am as vague as possible, even my family or my gf's don't know. If you would see me in real life you would see me as well off, but a simple man. There are way too many people flaunting money that they don't have or once they get some money they make it their mission to get as famous locally as possible. These people are easily parted with their money as they seek approval with the help of their money, it never ends well.

It is not about how weak or strong you are as someone suggested, it is about how much and how you make the money. If the business is high risk and high reward then lay low, there are plenty of people who trade away their future for a high salary, let them make some money and take the credit for your hard work, once the shit hits the fan you won't have to handle it.

@Sett_Main Yes, I care too much about what people think because I met dangerous people in my life who showed me my vulnerability.

If they don't give a fuck what people have to say, why do political leaders need bodyguards? You might say you were confident about your statements, but you've never put that to the test. Yes, comments can't hurt you, but real people can.

And in business here in germany, you have to reveal your home address if you want to make money. I don't know if that is enforced when you use bitcoin.

If someone wants to get physical and is not by himself, you won't create a situation to where you beat their ass and get away with it. You sound like you haven't put any of that to the test.

I know you are coming from a good place, but there is a reason why people are careful and it's not just stupid.

As long as I know my customers, it's no big deal, it becomes one, once I don't and go out to the street and some random dude with his friends tries to get physical with me.

Yes, they are losers. So what, you gotta take your safety seriously. Even losers kill people, cause they got nothing left to lose.

I would say that many online businesses don't require some direct exposure, and you can safely do them without it. Like, for example, if you enter into affiliate marketing or dropshipping business, no one will have to know who's behind it, you only need to have a valid email, and that's it, you will never present yourself as a private person, so you can be safe from that side. I understand that some people have problems with this, but I don't see it as some big obstacle for being successful in your business, just avoid things that would involve some social media presence, and that's it. Other things you can really do safely, even writing blogs about those topics that interest you, as you can be a completely anonymous writer.
