So I really want to start with IM but without any money down, I mainly want to try out a lot of white-hat things. Then I will buy a domain.Do you have any recommendations?

BTW somehow I posted on the wrong thread I think...

Idk free but I know that you can buy .xyz domain on namecheap for $1
 
i and 1 id 1 sollar a month with free domain for first year ..thats a fairy cheap entry price !!

You will need to buy hosting for wordpress. If you wanted just a blog, you would have some totally free non-wordpress options but if you want the adjustability and functionality of wordpress I think you can't avoid buying hosting.

Thanks for the reply.Though I messed around with InfinityFree and it supports Wordpress. It also works pretty well considering that I want a free hosting just to test some plugins and themes. I think I can avoid buying hosting but just to test some things, obviously no one will enter a messy link like those free hosting providers give you.

BTW: Even though InfinityFree is kind of alright I am still open to learn more about other free providers.

I used InfinityFree too but I think that when you start install wordpress plugins you will reach the limits too quickly. I also tried 000webhost and others, they all have the same issue. When you install plugins you reach the limits quickly. They are basically trial versions of their paid hosting service. It's good though if you want a mainly text-only blog.
 
If you don't have $15 for an early hosting plan (yes, it exists, check the marketplace here, make your due diligence and you'll find it, I'll not post the hosting company name here) It is better not starting any project.
When you'll have (at least) $100 we can discuss further.
 
Infinityfree and FreeHostingNoAds among other would be good options if you are looking for free hosting. Feel free to check. cheers!
 
AND InfinitiyFree is no realyfree because ou need to PAY A FEE to transfer fee to use a proper domain! HOWEVER to be fair if there was a genuine free hostig service ot woudbe fab as we could all use them for Tier 1s etc !!!

If you plannng to use for your money site I think you are taking cost cutting a step too far

Not true, I have seen success stories even with blogspot with 0 investment.

Yes, I would also go with that if I want free hosting. Google Blogspot would be great for starting at first.

But if you want to go with wordpress free hosting I think http://www.atsnx.com/index.php would be good to go. You can check yourself and analyze every free hosting which would be best for you.

Google cloud, microsoft azure & aws provide wordpress hosting for free*, at least one year

with azure you don’t even need to purchase domain

*depends on many things, especially the instance
 
None are good for a money site. 00webhost is fine for some testing and prototyping.
