Where are you storing your USDT/USDC?
And where do you stake them for Interest?
Where are you storing your USDT/USDC?
USDC is decentralized?
It would be like savings in this coin since it remains stable, but there are ways to increase USDT/USDC as another user said by staking or lending etc
Understood - You can do the same with your Banks currently since Interest rates are rising - The question is, for how long are those Staking (Pools? I assume)
I once staked 10k in Pancakeswap, with a 70-90% Interest rate—what I got at the end was a 5k total sum because this coin was not worth it, and markets were down.
We are talking about USD(T) / USD (C), which are stable coins. I know that's a huge difference, but I would like to know how much you can earn by staking, which key factors influence this, and whether it is guaranteed. Is there a Staking Provider Risk in case they make the wrong decisions and your money is not 100% predictable?
From a macroeconomic point of view, many risks come from those staking incentives:
Locking much money (FIAT USD) to USDT or USDC would cause a shortage in market liquidity. Thus, the USD exchange rate in the "real world" would decrease, and the same goes for the crypto market overall if there is a shift from other cryptos to staking.
More dramatically, the FED would need to act and adjust banking interest rates to make it competitive for banks to borrow & lend money.
Depending on who the investment managers of those staking portfolios are, they influence the regulated market and the overall financial market system.
Remember that those staking tools are used by private individuals like me and me and by investors with a little bit more money in their pockets.
As I mentioned, anything related to failure on those platforms or wrong risk management could seriously damage the financial system.
You think now: What the fuck is this guy posting here? Why should I care?
Well, in the short term, nobody cares, and it's the same with not showering.
But after a certain time, it stinks—and not only in your immediate area (US) but also further away.
USD is and remains (as of now) the leading currency for international transactions, trading goods, etc.
I just pointed out the macroeconomic effect; I don't know much about the stake incentives, etc.
If you have any kind of Info Letter, I would kindly ask you to provide it; it's better for me to understand.
But for you, in the first place, the question is, as the quote below from
@Ahmed Al Banna says: Can you outperform the Inflation rate?
Is the reward of Staking that good so that you outbid other asset classes?
Last but not least, What are the returns after a specific time frame? How long is your Money locked to get a good return?
Who are the staking Firms?
What is their risk management, and how "safe" is your money in their (virtual) hands?
You are holding "stable" coins in USD which is rapidly losing its actual value due to inflation. $100 last year would allow you to buy certain amount of goods but now you need $120 to buy the same.
Your $100 looks same on paper but in reality it has less value. It's better to put cash into bank that gives you 5% rather than to convert it to stable coin that will keep it pegged to same amount. Your money sits "stable" without earning you nothing when money never sleeps and needs to do something for you.
Exactly

I quoted you because you explained it very smartly and in the easiest way.
Thanks
