Do you have unclaimed money?

I do! I just watched a TV show that surprised people with boatloads of cash that was left unclaimed and sat in their state's treasury department until someone discovered it.

Figured I'd check too and whadda ya know!? I have several checks from past jobs that I forgot all about. I also searched for my grandparents and they each have two insurance policies that we never knew about!

I have no clue how much the insurance money is, the site doesn't say, but I'm going to send in the forms tomorrow and hopefully it'll be enough to pay off my visa bills. A girl can dream.

David Bendah wrote a book about starting a home biz where you returned unclaimed cash to people. Due to greedy price gougers (50% of the cash!) the Feds clamped down on the practice.

Actually, the Feds clamped down on the "federal" unclaimed money part because scammers were getting people to pony up money in advance and telling them that they have some unclaimed cash, but most (if any) didn't.

There are a few active ones that still pull this scam from time to time. Usually they wait for the nationally televised "unclaimed money" shows that air annually on Goo*d M*orning A*merica, O*PR*AH, and others. They then send post cards and letters to TENS OF THOUSANDS of people and reap HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS in return.

I know this because it is the business that I am in and I have befriended a few st*ate and fe*der*al em*ploy*ees (sorry bout that but can't be too careful) who have shared some really surprising info with me over the years.

But enuf of that. I am presently updating my unclaimed money site and will be hooking up BHW members in the near future...... with the MODS permission of course.

Yeah, this actually got me over $500 last October. I was just cruising around the web looking into stuff like this and I was surprised to find that countrywide owed me like $540 or something like that from a escrow account overbalance form selling one of my houses. Not like it was winning the lottery or anything, but made for a fun little weekend as they sent me the check in like 2-3 days once I contacted them.

Any idea if this works in the UK???

Darn, I would love to know how and if this can be done in the UK. Bet I am owed loads. well, wish, but still I would like to know. That whole threshold thing has cost me loads btw rudy,
now I am very careful when reading Affilaite T&cs. There are some companies who thrive on using the threshhold thing to hardly pay affiliates out!!! Grr!

Yea ghands... worth pondering.... Perhaps some strategy where we get an investor who makes purchases from the affiliates, which then makes the merchant pay the commissions out - and the money is refunded with interest to the investor. Something like that.....

I'm a newbie in this area.. but there could potentially be millions slushing around... Just Don't know...
