i have heard that it is safer to get a VPS with scrapebox. Do you have to get the VPS? How will it help? thanks

1: Bandwith you can receive a call from your internet provider for using too much bandwith.
2:You can run scrapebox 24 hrs.
3:Usually a vps will have a better connection and since will only be used for scrapebox you can use more connections etc.

But this as things that will count for people that use scrapebox extensively,if you are just a normal user there would be no need.

Get a VPS if you're doing alot of blasting because the main reason of getting a VPS is to let scrapebox run 24/7 and don't slow your computer down while running it.
So, run sb on a VPS if only you want to blast a lot of links.

I once ran scrapebox full throttle in my personal home. We have a 5mb connection, and it still crippled our internet so bad that no one could even browse the net. I'm running it on a VPS ever since.

The main problem with own PC is bandwidth and internet connection. If you have unlimited bandwidth and very high(50 MbPS>) you don't need VPS.

Hi,
I use standard connection at home.
I have unlimited bandwidth, connection is typically 10-12Mbs, not had any problems
It makes the machine it's on lag a lot, but you expect that for what it's doing.

I just use another machine, no issue.

If you have more than one computer at home and good internet connection then VPS is not needed theoretically. But I prefer to run all my black hat SEO tools on remote servers.

I have a 12mb connections and scrapebox runs ok, but it sucks up all the bandwidth so you really cant do much online like play games and such when running scrapebox.

also if you are looking for a VPS alot of people say xsserver as they offer unlimited bandwidth for a cheap price, i have not used them so i cant personally vouch for them, but they appear to be good.

Hello,

If you are just starting to fiddle around with scrapebox you should check out some cheaper alternatives to vps service providers (xsservers is good but it's 35$).

I use vps of website service plus- the cheapest solution is 7.95$ and works great when you are just starting out.
Also thrustvps offers very cheap solutions for windows vps.

When you use vps you don't have to worry about your computer freezing up or it consuming all your internet bandwidth.

You can still do your things and sb can run on vps 24/7
