When you put WP on it benchmark it how many requests per second it can handle with storage on a USB HDD please. I'm really interested in the numbers.My new Rasberry Pi 4 Model B is in the mail! Will start with pi-hole and also use for local WordPress development

Raspberry Pi is pretty useful when it comes to portability. Obviously they are not as powerful as let's say a gaming PC, but that's not the point with these devices. Portability and price are two things why they are in the market (even arduino). Making a web server isn't the best use case for a raspberry pi though.

Set it up as a Pi Hole. It doesn't take that long and it's giving you lots of helpful use then.
Other than that I can't see how a Pi is that helpful really. I did run a simple mail server at one point off one but at the end of the day you can buy cheap hosting for email use.

I have a rpi3 and an atomic pi, which is basicaly the same as a rpi with an intel processor so you can install any common os (ubuntu, windows...) I use it with a 4g ip which let me rotate the adress (by using php or python script). It is a nice setup to farm IG account by instance.

I'm interested in getting a raspberry pi 4 but holding off until using an ssd instead of microsd for booting is available.
