Do you guys trust free webhosts?

I came across bowenhost.com and they look pretty legitimate. They have like 4,000 something likes on their Facebook page. Although I had a bad time before with free webhosts like x10hosting.com, I just wanted to know if anyone ever used bowenhost.com.

If you used them before, can you answer these questions:
    Are there servers fast?
    How reliable is their service?
    How good is their support?

    Thanks in advance guys,

Actually I use free hosts for a lot of things. They're great for starting new websites you don't want to invest any money in until you know it's going to be worth it. They're also good for buffer sites and silo sites. If the website takes off then it's easy to move it to a better hosting account at that time.

The main criteria I look at is if it's totally free. No ads and no forum requirements. That way you can set up the site and pretty much forget about it when you're not working on it and it'll still be there when you come back to it. You can't do that with hosts like x10hosting because they require you log on their forum once a month.

Free hosts are typically less reliable than paid hosts, but until you're getting more than 30 or 40 visitors a day it usually doesn't make any difference. Once you start seeing results for the website and it's getting some consistent traffic then just move the site to one of your better hosting accounts.

In my Opinion Free Hosts are not reliable. If you are serious about running blogs/sites then buy at-least shared hosting account. There plenty Cheap hosting deals around, some even starts from $1/ month.

I have used both freehostia and 000webhost before, and never again.
Downtime really bad, back end systems really bad and difficult to use, not reliable, not responsive. Of these two freehostia is better as they make most of their money but upgrading people to non-free accounts. 000webhost, not sure how they work but I wouldn't recommend.

Webhosting is so cheap these days, not worth risking with a free company. 10 years ago, different story but back then they all had banners to make their money.

I wouldn't on free web host.

It doesn't cost much to pay for hosting. The investment is well worth it.

Yep, free hosting good for dirty things, for experiment projects, for other medium stuff. It's ok for doorways, clickjack, fb and so on. Ofcourse not good for white projects. I use:
    Code:
    [B][U]ServersFree.com[/U][/B]
    and
    [B][U]1Freehosting.com[/U][/B]
    - they are great for all that stuff i mentioned. They even better than some paid hosting... My criterias for free hosting is: good bandwidth, uptime, no ads, no forum or signup sh*ts... I think Free hosting also ok for start up projects, but mostly for white projects i buy shared hosting just to feel more safe.

Google has made it clear that they will penalize you if you're in a bad neighborhood.
Free web hosts are bad neighborhoods.
