Do you guys donate?

I donate to cats shelter

then I went to the book store, bought "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and gave it to her + 500 baht. And the people behind me were like "wtf did this dude give the begging girl a fucking book? srsly?"
very kind of you, hope she learn something from that book

I think nowadays people would prefer to "collect" "donations", rather then giving donations. However, I do not donate to charity organizations, as we all very well know what happens to the funds they collect. Me personally, I directly help some poor people. There is joy in giving and sharing, yes, no doubt about it. We came empty handed and we shall leave empty handed.

We better not share our good deeds:

“…A man who gives in charity and hides it, such that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives in charity; and a man who remembered Allah in private and so his eyes shed tears.”

But someone asks with an intent to know, you can tell about them, especially if it can potentially motivate someone else to start doing so.

Few years ago, someone told me how their business started to improve after they had started to donate some part of their monthly revenue every month. I started to do the same and since then, my income has only increased.

You should first of all start donations with your family, is there anyone in your family who is less blessed than you are? Help them out.

If there's nobody in your family, then move on to your relatives and friends, neighbors, if you still don't find anyone, only then donate to charity foundations.

These foundations already receive a big amount of funding from corporations and millionaires, our little donation isn't going to make a difference, but it might make a difference in a relative/friend's life.

Our family donates a handsome part of our combined income every year to trusts that uplift the poor.
If we want to see change, we need to show change.

Does any of you donate some part of your income every month, year?

Or have you donated in the past?

How was your experience considering you never know whether it will be really used for the cause

I personally donated recently and felt really proud and feel like I should be doing it on a regular basis

It can be anything small or big donation let us know your experience

I remember one lady told me she said to receive you must give as that is the law of the universe but give without doubting...there must be not even a little doubt while giving...just give
yes i donate blood after every 6 months.

We have a local small charity organization un-official, we help people who can't organize their daughter's marriage, medical treatment, child school fees or clothes, etc.

It's always a pleasure to help the less fortunate.
Things can go down to nothing real quick.

I think we should only give charity to those who really deserve and as far as i know ppl who really deserve our charity or help never ask us to give them bcx they are ppl with dignity and respect, homeless ppl without any disability do not deserve a penny bc they have made begging their profession we should help ppl who get stuck in home bc of corona ppl who lost their jobs and we know they dont have any savings otherwise homeless ppl can easily atleadt earn their food by doing any little job like cleaning someone car who is parked in parking lot their is lot of ways if you really want to earn but if you want to beg and choose it your profession then i think that ppl do not deserve anything

I recently donated to a fundraiser for a person I know for his cancer treatment... It felt good!

There is a saying in my mother tongue, which roughly translates to - your left hand shouldn't know that your right hand is donating. If you make it public, then it is not a donation. :P

So, no.. I don't donate.

I've never even thought about donating, never had the opportunity but I'd love to start

Starting giving since last year and felt good. Surprisingly, my work also increased and my income though I have been doing hard work for years but results have started coming only now.. May be its related to me giving part of my income...
