Grid trading is low risk and easy to learn but how to find coins that are moving sideways?

you run backtest on your grids and look at historical data

a better way to look at it instead of finding "sideway coins", would be coins you believe will maintain value or go up regardless of what happens.. example bnb... even though gridtrading is bnb profit is low, you can get 0.1% a day or more after fees if it stays in the grid. but it goes out, u do not worry as its bnb :)

The issue with this strategy is that when a coin goes up grid bot is not effective. You will get 3x less than just hodl.

Also you will buy cheap bnb but the bot will sell it in high grid price and so no bnb for your hodl strategy.

You grid trade so it spits out profit. U dont grid trads to hodl it?

Example bnb/usdt. It spits out daily profit of usdt where you can use it to buy other coins example eth. U grid trade bnb/usdt because u know bnb will not die and simply maintain or increase in value
