Do you feel living with your partner decrease your quality of life?

Personally I don't like offices as I have made the first floor of the apartment an office

We have enough space duplex with 2 rooms, 3 bathrooms, big spaces, etc
I live in a 2 storey house too with enough space. However I did not want to setup office there as I wanted to step out of the house.

Living with my partner has actually improved my quality of life. We share responsibilities, support each other, and it’s comforting to have someone around who understands and cares. Of course, no situation is perfect, and we have disagreements, but overall, the positives outweigh the challenges.

Do you think a routine of "gym, minced meat with rice and work from home," is a more enjoyable life?
LMAO apparently op thinks it is.
@hexagonal have you talked to her about it? What was her reaction to your feelings and obejections?
Relationships require compromise on both sides.

This is the second time that I start living with someone else and it always feels that my life gets messy.
I moved with my gf 2 weeks ago before that my routine was basically gym, minced meat with rice and work from home, now it just feels messy it feels that something needs to be fixed, done, etc always.

I think partners not getting what's WFH is a major problem if I'm not doing anything it does not mean that I should be taking care of something the same would happen in an office downtime exists for a reason

Do you suffer from a sound that wont go away, [ woman ]
do you get nagged 24-7 when all you want is quiet
then you need the bhw no frills drill a doll,
just 19.99 and you can own the doll that never
speaks and where the man is always happy......
Drill a doll COMING to bhw soon

And when they buy one.

The immediate upsell is:

"Wait! I know you're a degen, want another doll for only 10.99?"

being in the same situation, during the pandemic, had to do everything while I was working like come on, during certain calls or meetings screaming to go to the store, fix this, come here need your help to take out the dog and this was with my family they say you are doing nothing, you are just sit infront of a computer :anyway: maybe because they think being at home means you are not working because is only in the office but that change and is more common still there is people that don't understand this and for them WFH means do nothing the all day.

It happened to me before—my routine changed, and I couldn't work out. Too much interaction with a partner might not always be good for a relationship, and sometimes, missing each other can actually make the relationship stronger.

have you actually had a sit down with her and discussed this?
living together whether it's with a partner or a roommate isn't easy.

I totally get where you’re coming from. Moving in with someone can throw your routine out of whack, especially when you’re used to a simple structured life. It’s tough when your partner doesn’t fully grasp how WFH works downtime isn’t an invitation to pile on tasks it’s just part of the gig, like it would be in an office.

Maybe try talking to her about setting some clear boundaries around your work and personal time? It could help get things back to feeling less chaotic.

You've got the wrong partner, man.

Yes, that's why I prefer to stay single, it's much easier to organize my routine
If you have kids, a partner, a roommate or whatever, you could need to adapt your schedule

true being single gives you full control over your time. But sometimes, having the right partner or support system can also make things easier in different ways! i think it is how we manage and set boundaries in every situation in life.

I talk about this on my blog- "How Choosing the Right Partner is Pivitol to One's Success." But I will say this, if you are the type of person that thrives better in a routine then you have to be mindful about living with others. And you have to be especially mindful about the fact that when it comes to WFH and attempting to build a relationship with someone, there is life outside of your WFH office and there is always going to be something that needs to be done when it comes to your girlfriend. Some people should just live alone.

I don't. I started staying with my partner in september 2024, and i will say it has been an amazing experience for the both of us. We have gotten closer, learnt to handle arguments better, be more tolerant, loving and caring towards each other, be as comfortable as siblings and learn each others irks, to help us live in better condition. So, i will say if you feel the opposite of this then it means you really need to communicate with your partner something else is wrong.

I'm in the same situation as you, man! Fitness, cooking, working from home, I don't want this beautiful balance to be broken

I would say there are problems on both sides of the relationship. You need to appreciate the importance of hugs and words of support happening several times a day. And who you are with needs to learn to relax and live the simple life. You are still knew to this and you can both make it work.

No.. Its not decreasing the quality of my life, in fact, she helps me balance the importance I give to life, career and entertainment.
