I dont' have a webcam installed on my desktop (I have a hull hd webcam, but I don't still use it for privacy concerns). As for laptop I use camera cover stickers to cover the camera up. Got those stickers from a client of ours lol.

ah, than you can be safe when scammer so call " clam I record down your dirty act in front of your computer, I been recorded your daily life around your room etc from the computer webcam, now send xxx BTC or else I will leak out your dirty act online "

I suggest you start doing that lol.
I did not use to be a privacy freak before I joined my current company. Now a days, I am very much fearful of data privacy because I have to deal with sensitive data, which if leaked could destroy our company's reputation.
It's not about porn, always.
I don't use a webcam cover and not even any anti-virus program. Crypters exist, and if used properly any virus can pass your AV software.
If you know what you're doing, you're safe.
People still think that visiting a website can destroy your computer, but this is not the case. If they find such an exploit, they can sell it for millions to Microsoft.
The only way to really get hacked is to open a malicious file, so if you're not installing new or unsafe software onto your PC you're fine.

I have been using Kaspersky on all my devices since long. They have a nifty feature where they notify if any website or app is trying to use the webcam. Well, from the notifications that I receive you will be surprised to see the websites that sometimes tries to access your webcam, maybe unintentional due to some scripts running in the background but it does.

Scary part is , when they turn on the cam , your cam light will not show up? or you don't see your cam software open? I doubt so?

I am not entirely sure about Kaspersky too, but at least I know it does block certain efforts of access, so fair enough for me

No ones watching you man. You may think you are special or something but most likely you are not. No offence but if you disappear tomorrow , its not gonna make a slight difference. The only way to live your mark is by having kids and grand kids.

I highly doubt so call " they can turn on without you notice in the same the webcam light never turn on and the app for the cam.
If they can access than you can see why suddenly your cam app open itself ?

There's at least 4 to 5 companies that see everything we do online, from DNS queries to your screen. Everything is tracked by someone.

My Computer is full of security,Have covered and taken care of all the things and avoiding any exploits or virus to be entered.
And anyways I don’t doubt this but sometimes I feel that it’s confirmed,better safe then sorry.

I think no where safe these days. When you register on a website, using email, comes email marketing from nowhere mailing you. when you install android app, you agreed gives permission to access contact, albums, etc. when you made payment you give CC number, and suddenly someone use it. No where is safe right now. That what I think

MAN, I does encounter Once , my debit card been used by others to purchase items.
Lucky I can get back the money from my bank and bank re issues me another new card.
I still tracing wonder where the leak come out as I always Very careful come CC payment , details stuffs. but in the end I suspect is from last time on one MLM stuffs
because they gateway also got problem etc . I suspect their data got stolen etc by hackers or whoever thus sell it off
