An idea is worth nothing. Everyone has ideas, just look at this thread. Just because you had an idea that somebody else made millions with, it doesn't even mean that you would have been as successful. It's all about execution.

    Tell me about it.

And facebook marketing, I started really late, when the reach of pages was dropping so much.

happens to each of us where we fail to act.. people have made 100's of ks / millions off

facebook spamming, bitcoins, adsense arbitrage, youtube views spam in early days etc..

But whats done is done. no point in regretting over it. Move on and find something that works NOW :)

Sturose, its an old saying that nothing is original - and that is true of your story.

Trick is to align your ideas with the ability to deliver on them.
So the ideas you can't action yourself, dump them. Think of them as somebody elses.
The ideas you can action are yours and this will be how you make your living.
    Good Luck
    Rudy :)

Ok thanks for all the replies guys, obviously I'm not unique in spotting a missed opportunity, not that I expected to be.

Wherever possible I won't miss another one even if I don't think I'm capable or have the relevant skills.

As a certain very famous person once said:

"It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed"

We all have our shares in missed opportunities for XX reasons. You/we will not accomplish nothing wasting your/our time in the past, spen the time in new ideas that will bring some $$ tomorrow.

Most important thing is no mater how great idea is its worthless if you don't have the balls to do it!

I turned down 1000 bitcoins to build a website once, because I wanted "real" money.

I would like a do-over on that one.

So what we ned is an idea pool. Everyone puts in their ideas, and if someone uses your idea, you get 10% for life. That way you do make something on your idea, and the action takers have lots of ideas to take action on. Y could build up real passive income just tossing out ideas..

It will never work, because it relies on honesty, but in better world it would be a good idea.

Competition is good, when someone already did something you think about, there is alot of things you can learn from them and do it better than the competitor.
