Do you diversify T2 links..?

Newbie question here...

I understand for T1 stuff you should get 5-7% anchor on your main keyword - but as for T2 links do you guys do that as well?

I can see that now that 'optimum' KWD is being more widely recognised as a myth, the new 'optimum' bandied about will be ATD (Anchor Text Density)

Anyway, you want those links from T2 to T1 to pass juice, so don't kill them off with spamming them with high volumes of exact Anchor Text - the same way as you don't want to do it to your own site from T1.
