Hello all, do you remove the date of your posts in your wordpress?
Do you find it useful?

I think maybe people won't think your article/review is outdated and trust it more?

Waiting to hear your ideas :D

How does it make any difference ?

Content freshness is not related to the post date but how and when the content is edited with new information.

Because, for example, I have a microniche wordpress blog, with some articles about the niche and some affiliate links, if there are from 2014 maybe the customer don't think it still works? and if they don't see the date they may think is recent so they will trust you.

What do you think? Sorry if my english is a bit weird, as i'm not native english speaker.

i don't as i think building a long term footprint is important, far better to show you have been around for a long time and show consistancy, that builds trust that you are committed.

It really depends on the actual content. If it looks like a blog, it's better to keep the date and it will also make sense to continue posting from time to time. If you want it to be more of a static informational site, maybe you could hide the date, but the the content still needs to look legit and trustworthy. Having the current year somewhere in the content might make it look fresh. If you want to be sneaky, I'm sure you can find a way to display the current year dynamically somewhere inside your content so the content itself will always sound current, because the year mentioned will always be the current year.

I could see why you would do this if you have an article with 2015 in the title that you recently updated to 2016, but the post date was from 2015.

However, I've never done it myself.
