Do you create backlinks to your blog network?

If you do, what kind of backlinks you make?
i have a small private network and i send some backlink to my money site, then i decided to create some backlinks for my network.

What would you suggest me to do and what to avoid?

If you haven't already seen this excellent thread by jamesvick then I suggest you go read it now. Essentially you should treat each of your blog network sites as "money sites" in their own right and rank them accordingly by building quality backlinks to them as well. The compound effect of ranking your blog network sites into the top 100 results will generate even more lift for your main money site.
