I'm having trouble to get the site indexed (i just published it anyway, didn't do anything more). The site is good and has backlinks.

I'm thinking on creating a GSC and push the sitemap through there but i'm not sure if using a VPN, or creating the account on the same google chrome sessión, etc will leave footprints. What do you think? What do you usually do?

I'm thinking on giving the site fake visitors from microworkers too, don't know if that helps.

EDIT: The site is online since 2 weeks aprox.

Thanks!

At only 2 weeks old, I wouldn't worry about footprints yet. Set up GSC normally and submit the sitemap. Check robots.txt, noindex, canonicals, internal links, and server status first.

I wouldn't use VPNs or fake Microworkers traffic artificial visitors aren't a reliable indexing signa

If the site is only two weeks old I would give it some more time first Submit the sitemap in GSC and check URL Inspection for crawl or indexing issues Also make sure the site has proper internal links and is not blocking Googlebot Fake traffic is unlikely to solve an indexing problem

Your site is still pretty in its infancy, you shouldn't worry about fingerprint yet. Focus rather on making it crawlable and indexable by Google. I would remove the idea of pulling in fake traffic if i were you. Don't expose a site that young it already has a lot it will have to fight.

What's the reason behind not worrying on footprints on a new website? I thought the reason in general is to no leave any kind of relationship between these sites and my other money sites. Why is not risky to open a GSC on google chrome with my personal account, for example? Isn't the same criteria on new or old websites?

Thanks!

At just 2 weeks old, I wouldn’t worry yet. Set up GSC normally , submit the sitemap, and ask for indexing on the key pages. No VPN needed , and you do not need a separate Chrome session. I’d also leave out the fake Microworkers traffic. It ’s unlikely to help indexing, and it adds extra risk for no real gain. Just give Google some time to crawl the site.

from my point of view, the basic issue here is not to add complexity to the whole footprints process until the indexing issues have been solved first. In case there is a newly launched website, I would start from solving the crawlability, links nd sitemap issue.

GSC itself is not the main footprint problem. the bigger issue is how your sites are connected to each other.

If you verify several PBN sites with the same Google account, Google can see that connection. It is better to use separate Google accounts. for verification, DNS or an HTML file is better than Google Tag Manager. Reusing the same GTM setup across sites can create another connection between them.

For a new site, submit the sitemap and check if Google is crawling the pages. Then leave it alone. GSC does not make Google trust a site faster. It only shows you what Google has found.
If the site has thin content or few good backlinks, it may get little or no traffic. GSC will show this, but changing the GSC setup will not fix it.

After 30 / 60 days, check the performance report. if the site gets no impressions for any search terms, Google probably does not see strong enough topic or content signals. That is mainly a content problem, not a GSC problem.

In short, Set up GSC, use a separate account, and verify the site with DNS. The bigger risks come from things like shared hosting, similar registration details, and linking the sites together.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the VPN or Chrome session. I’d just set up GSC normally, verify the site and submit the sitemap. New sites can take a bit to get picked up anyway, so I’d give it some time first.

For a new site, I’d focus on making crawling easy rather than trying to simulate visitors. GSC, a clean sitemap, strong internal linking, and checking indexing issues should be the first steps.

Crawlability and content should be the areas to concentrate on for now. Send the XML through GSC if you really own the website. fake traffic will not help with indexing. It is too early to do so give Google some time.

Well as your suggestions i went ahead with the GSC configuration. Cleaned the old sitemaps and uploaded the new. But what i found after confirming the site is that it had a manual action about "Transparency", never saw that one, maybe is an old message, i already appealed. But maybe that's the reason why the site isn't indexed (old sitemaps had recent google bot hits).

Let's see how goes now.
Thanks!

manually submitted action may be more serious than footprints prblems. I would wait for the results of the appeal becuz the manually submitted action may not index the website despite all changes in the sitemap.

I would ignore the Microworkers fake traffic, as this is not likly to be the solution to your indexing issues. If your site has just been launched two weeks ago, I would concentrate on crawlabilkity, sitemap and internal linking

Check your robots.txt and noindex settings first. A small setting there can stop Google from indexing the site.
