Do you copy and modify privacy and terms page

So for a blog if I copy existing sites privacy and terms pages and replace their brand name with mine is it okay, I saw few each had exact ones barring few lines here and there.

1) Will google penalise me for doing this

2) can the site owners complain against me

Can anyone share some information on this

There are many generators online that will give you GDPR Compliance terms & privacy pages.
 
I don’t think you’ll run into problems for this. However, if you’re worried, you can always have the privacy policies rewritten. You can either do it yourself or hire someone. Just remember to run it by Copyscape.
 
Yeah, i do it. Just copy out the names and change locations for local law etc.
 
Yes I use one privacy page for all my websites and I make sure to set the page as no noindex
 
I thought about this recently and came to the conclusion that it is fine to simply replace their name with yours. Tons of sites have the exact same copy (bar the names) as they came from the same free generators. So, I decided there was no point creating new ones, I simply use add a few different paragraphs here and there to make sure I leave no footprints, and noindex to be on the safe side.

That last part is important both to stop google tracking your PBN's / sites down and penalising, AND stopping competitors discovering your money sites and ripping them!

I have found some great new niches from the latter...
 
Instead you can use some online generator tools and double check the terms and policies whether it is related to your niche or not types. Then you can post. It is safe use this way.
 
Yes, you can but this doesn't mean that you should. When you could manage a blog all by yourself how hard it could be to write your own privacy policies. after all this information is to state how legit you are to your readers. I don't think copying them from other sites would be wise and professional.
 
Just do it. I also do it (However for some sites I just noindex these pages). Even if you don't no-index it, it should not be a problem.
 
BHW's own Privacy page is a verbatim copy of the XenForo default, and the first few paragraphs of the Terms page are a verbatim copy of the vBulliten default (which was apparently carried over during the last upgrade).

Noindexing the pages is the safest option, but not strictly necessary. You won't get a site-wde penalty for those few pages, and you really shouldn't be trying to rank your privacy policy in the first place.
 
Thank you’ll after studying top 10 sites, few random sites and some recommend ones I realised each one had their terms and privacy same, I tested them in copsyscape all was copy of some another site, it seems there is a common privacy law that all need to keep hence all sites have it copied cause that’s general thank you’ll who replied.
