Do you blog on your niche site?

Hey

I'm developing a niche site, based on WordPress. WordPress comes with blogging integrated, but I'm not sure I will do blogging. Because I don't feel like wanna hire a freelancer to write an article ($8 pr. article) to post every week on the blog (to keep the plog alive). Then again maybe it's a good idea to utilize the blog feature (getting to #1 in google faster?).

This blog will be an addition to the about 10 pages on the niche site..

Do you blog on your niche site? You see any benefit of doing it in terms of increased traffic?

a blog will definately help you improve your rankings in G. Just put quality posts on the blog and market it.
