I don't think we are that smart for that kind of tech.. remember racism is still a thing, looking down at someone just because of different skin color ...really?
second thing, I don't think they want anything from us either if they wanted something I am sure they have the power to take it in a heartbeat
we try to predict or try to understand what would they want from our planet...We think about it in a human way (power, military, territories, etc)
Everything we think they might want, they already have it, trying to understand what they want is like trying to teach an ant how a tv works...
Unless we are their little failed experiment or their little zoo.

to summarize I do not believe in all that has a relation with the space race (I do not even see the usefulness of nasa or any other space program)

I believe that the flying objects (airplanes, helicopters, etc) made by human beings are considered as UFOs by those who we call "aliens" !!! So, infact every flying object (be it a helicopter or airplane, flying saucer, flying ship, etc) is a UFO to some or the other living things somewhere or the other.
