I think there is karma, i was reading a story:
There was a lady, who was buyign groceries. The cashier, gave $5 extra to her, but instead of returning it she kept it. one week later, she rear ended somebody. Cost? $500 so the insurance wont even cover it, LOL

Karma is a bitch she will come and stick her 22' cock up your ass when you least expect it!

You dont kick the ass of person who stolen your money???

in here kicking is karma for the person who stoled the money

Yes, i do believe in Karma as i have seen some things come around on others quite quickly. U get back what u put out there.

No, I don't believe in karma.
Our actions have consequences, but they won't be determined by a higher force or whatever.

Every action has an outcome, or several. You must weight them before taking action.

I definitely believe in Karma you see it everyday where bad things happen to bad people and to good, good things happen. Sure there is times when life is unfair to good people or bad people get away with it that is because life's a bitch not Karma..

Do they? Do you really think that? Are you living in a fairy tale?
Do the kids in Africa, for instance, decided to be poor and live like that? Were they mean when they were on their mother's womb and as a consequence they're gonna live with those diamond cocksuckers and be abused every single day, without food or water?

Do those kids in China decided that they would be forced to work in factories and work till die, and be replaced like machines that have broken? Oh wait, maybe their biggest fault was to be born, right? They shouldn't have been born, nah nah, they were mean by doing that.

I could get a whole bunch of these examples, but you get the point.

Are you kidding me? Really? Karma is just a fucking excuse for people to behave and try to be less ashamed of themselves. I wouldn't give money to charity just because I did blackhat, I'd give money and help because I feel that's the right thing to do. Not just because I'd balance my karma, and bad things would stop happening to me.
I'm not gonna say what I do or don't do, that's not the point.

Can't you just help people and give them love just because you're a nice person? Do you need an excuse to do so? You're defined by your whole set of actions, there's not a karma judge, or whatever.

You don't need to believe in a higher power or god to behave correctly towards other human being.

A guy can do good for their whole life and nothing can never happen to him.
And the opposite can happen, too. There's no fate, nor will your action will have an opposite reaction to balance your own world.

I make my own karma (:

No one here ever claimed karma was some life changing substance. As I've stated several times to me it's just more of a mindset. It seems that you're exaggerating a simple concept and acting like if it were true than perfection would exist for all that do good, no one ever claimed it to be that way. As for questioning my motives of why I donate to charity I don't really care what you think, it clears my conscience, in the end both I win for that, as does the charity for getting my money.

I don't know of anyone who donates to charity for the fact that they just wanna help, most pity them. Sure it sucks that the world isn't perfect, we don't all give to the communities good, we take what we need to for us to thrive with what and who we care about for the simple fact that people by nature are greedy. If we don't take what's out there to earn, others will.

Yea, I guess I was venting a bit, too. And the comments weren't rightly directed at you.

And I didn't question your motives for donating to charity. I think it's a good thing you're doing there, despite the reason you may have.

The world is never gonna be a perfect place for everyone, why fake that? That can never be achieved, and everyone fights for their own good ultimately, even if they don't want to admit it.

But that's out of the thread's context now. I was discussing about karma, and some people's perspective about it, and not about economics/social system. That's a whole new theme

But it's sure nice to believe in something...I believe in people, money and power :p

BTW: concept of Karma is the basis in one of my fav TV shows ever - "My Name is Earl" - it all looked cool and somewhat believable, but as I said - karma and religions are only a fairy tales for adults...that's it.

i believe in karma because i believe the world is a reflection of who you are

No worries I'd be using the same arguments you stated if I was debating from your side. :D

Do you believe in Karma?
Half and half.

I don't believe there is definitely such thing, but it is in my mind. Alot of people don't believe in bad luck, such as smashing mirrors or walking under ladders. But whenever something bad happens to me i think, "what have i done wrong for it to happen" Also, if i do something bad i will think "what bad thing will happen now?"

Ok, i don't always think about it that way but sometimes. An example of Karma i have witnessed is at swimming about 2 months ago. I went to get changed in the cubicle and found some kids Travel/Swimming card. Instead of being nice and handing it it, i thought i'll keep it (I'd lost mine in the past and liked the feel of someone else going through the same feeling as me i suppose - Wrong thing to do in terms of Karma!) I got changed and in the process of that, i misplaced my phone - Either left it in the cubicle or not putting it in my locker. I realized this after i got changed and came outside the building..

I thought to myself - Karma. I didn't return the lost card, so in return i lost my phone. There's also good Karma though, if i do something good in return something good will happen to me.

Its very interesting :)

Karma is a losers favorite word.

But that being said i beilieve that we share collective energy and science has proven energy never dies but transfers itself. That being said, if someone steals your parking space it doesnt mean someone will take ur parking space oneday but that the energy you put out there will affect the collective energy and that will find its way back to u.

why a losers word? good things happen to me cuz i do good things for people

:prof01:

I still don't understand how people can deny the concept of karma fully. If you punch someone in the face obviously the odds are tilted more against you that the person is not going to do something good for you. That's a very direct example of course. :p

Exactly the way I see it as well. Religious beliefs aside, I think everything a person does comes back to them in one way or another.

Good or bad

If Karma is true, then in my next life, I will surely get the
shit kicked out of me by a bunch of pissed-off IM Gurus :)

Come to think of it though, they will probably get the shit kicked
out of them by a bunch of pissed-off customers they screwed :)

Ah! yes! . . . And the universe will be balanced once again.

Actually, that you prevent members from buying stooped products
and help them earn to where they may find it possible to purchase
the premium ones ... I'd say that is good kharma. ( also you help
keep their refund rate low.

Karma..

Is a concept in an eastern religions. So surely us talking about it , is talking about religion which is not allowed here!!

I believe to an extent that you reap what you sow, but I dont think it is necessaraly karma.

Sh*t happens to everyone. All we can do is to deal with it. This is what I believe.
