Well, I'm not an atheist nor religious, the idea of karma comes from Hinduism which says good deeds will be rewarded and adverse actions will hit you back, meaning you won't get away with it.

In my short life, I have experienced few things were karma might act, I have seen those who got away with murder suffering from cancer and long sufferings. Also, I have heard of people who live happily ever after they committed homicide or rape.

So I thought about it yesterday for a few hours and conclude that karma must probably be a fancy word people use. After all, according to Hinduism the worst sin one perform is killing higher cast [ kind of racism in ancient Indian culture], and all their books are written so-called high-cast people maybe favoring their reign over the vast lower caste people.

what do you think?

No. Karma is bullshit. I know lots of people that are objectively bad who made it far in life. If something bad happens to them (which we're all susceptible to as we're a part of an INDIFFERENT universe), that is supposed to be karma? Bullshit.

Yes. If you do bad things, it will return. It you do good things, it will return. Usually not in the same mode, but the feeling will be similar and related to what you did.

I believe in Karma. What goes around comes around. I always treat people how I would like to be treated.

I believe in it 100%. But I also think it’s useful only to your own actions because you know yourself whether they are right or wrong.

I think it is real, people making bad actions in their life have negative attitude and they look like the suffering from guilds ,it is true that a bad action can hunt you to all your life

Karma is a bitch but I assure you mate, it is 100% real. It can take many forms. I have seen good/great people suffer and shitbags lead the way but still karma rules because, as I've experienced, you can't predict when you will get a red card but sooner or later, it will judge a person based on his/her deeds.

Also, It helps A LOT on Reddit ;)

First of all, caste system in India is a cliche. In ancient times, people are born without any caste and get one based on their profession. Indian caste system is divided into 4 groups: Priests/Teachers/Knowledgeable/Saints, Kings (rulers/soldiers/protectors), Merchants (Traders/Travelers), Workers and uncategorized (visitors). This is even followed to this day in majority of the world with slight variations. For example, we have a similar structure here in BHW for admins/mods, VIPs, Marketplace sellers, members and guests. But, caste system in India is adulterated with nepotism (that is, kids inherit caste from their parents).

I have seen karma in action within a short time. There are a group of Govt officials involved in corruption related to a conspiracy (can't write whole story). The Sub-Inspector (Police) was caught taking bribe and lost his job. The only son of a Head constable (Police) died in an accident. The sister of Revenue Inspector was caught in prostitution. The grandson of a local couple (who helped them) died drowning in water. The MRO (Mandal Revenue Officer) who helped them was slapped by a woman in public during an argument (he had huge respect in the area until then). Several such incidents happened to other people involved in it within 3 years. Karma doesn't work like law but I strongly believe that it's real.

Since I tend not to do bad to other people, I don't think about it much. But yes, you should be good to people. It makes the world a better place.

Not, karma garbage. Villains as were unpunished and will

I believe more that we are here to learn and grow. If something bad happening to me I am just asking myself what I need to learn from it.

So much shit happened in my life and I always trying to be such a good person, so I needed to explain this to myself that way;) I am in constant learning mode :D

I don't believe in karma to be frank. I have seen bad things happening to too many good people and vice e verse (nothing to do with im) to believe in karma. I wish it was there though.

The person who is a victim is also getting paid for his/her karma (this life or past life). As you mention people being murdered or raped so it is possible that they are getting their karma in this life. Plus karma is not only the action you take i.e. by you hands (e.g. hitting somebody), karma is of three types that is action, words and thoughts. One cannot live a second without doing karma, you are breathing is also a karma and what you are getting in return is the life by breathing. So, to sum it up, you get what you do. Though it might be a very subtle and long term process.
