Maybe they are tying to communicate with us right now, but we can't just understand their 'signal' because it's a complete other technology..

Oh, that's a tricky question, but I do believe in other life species somewhere in The Universe.
And am also a big fan of star wars.

This post isn't at you jazzc, but I couldn't be bothered going through his post to get this part out.

Evolution says that extinction is natural. Despite popular beliefs, humans didn't come from primates, they are our siblings. Our evolutionary parents don't exist any more because their DNA was split into several different, distinct variations. Therefore, that species doesn't exist. Also, some species do not evolve correctly to suit the environment, so they die out. Allot of people think evolution is a magical thing that transforms things into surviving machines, but its not true. Evolution gets it wrong more than it gets t right, we just don't see the wrong things because that species dies out.
