I was just wondering if you find it harder to rank domains with certain words in them.. I'm primarily worried as I have a site that I'm working on and as the EMD was not available i purchased buy+keyword.com

It seems stuck even though I send diversified backlinks to it. Opinions and other people's experience is always great ;)

i generally stay away from things that could be copyrighted like "ipods" or whatever, just in case

Yes, but I was thinking more in terms of ranking if you have any wise words. I guess you need a certain amount of websites to be able to tell what ranks and what doesn't.. If of course there is a difference.

Instead of asking what words not to use it's better to look at the ones you can use.

When you want to target a keyword and the exact domain is not available you can use stop-words.
These words are considered to be filtered by the search engines.

The makers of SEO PowerSuite have a full list at their site.
