Do you allow comments , Facebook comment on your blog?

Presently I disable it on my site.

I use to activate before with WP anti spam plugin to take out spam comments etc
sometimes I manual do it ,

I find it a lot is just wanna promote their blog under the comments .

in the end I remove comments to save time monitor.

I wonder is good to turn comment on? I thinking of adding it back , but only for Facebook comment.

what do you guys think?

You can disable links in comment and remove the URL field

yup, i know but I remove , turn off the comment on my site. Sometimes is not nice to see so less people comment or even don't have " this show visitors your site is unpopular " But I do show visitors view on post at least how other there are people come to my site.

On my business site, I intermittently disabled my comments section for a long time due to the sheer number of self-promoters.

In the end, I enabled my comments again using Jetpack Comments, and so far I haven't had too many issues with self-promoters and low-quality comments. Although there's one exception: my article about that social media site called "Tsu" from 2014. There have been a few people trying to promote their accounts there, but I don't really care.

Depends, but on money sites I usually always go with Disqus comments it's easy to manage, block most of the spam and I don't want to force people to use Facebook or prevent people from commenting if they don't have Facebook.

I normally dont allow comments on any of my sites. To much can go wrong, to much to moderate and I dont feel like taking the time to sift through all of the possible spam that could insue.

It depends on our niche site. If the comments are manual then there is no issues for the blog. I run an entertainment website so i always welcomes the comments for make it a good reach.

I find Disqus gives the most professional look and feel. It's also used on many local news sites, so a lot of people are already using it. There's just a bit of a learning curve for beginners, which does eliminate some contents from flowing through, but unless you have 100,000+ visitors a month this will be negligible. I just let people comment freely and I filter out the spam, then approve the good stuff, which works fine but, on a larger site, Disqus is definitely the way to go.
