Link building can be helpful for SEO, but we have found that it often causes more problems than benefits. Building quality content is a better use of most blogger's time.

Great Content is great but how do you market that great content? Either Social Media or SEO. Link Building is not necessarily required but thats if your doing strictly social media or paid ads.

Focus on everything. Balance.

What they are saying is a truth, but it doesn't mean that you shouldn't build links.
But if you focus on good content and sharing that content you will get free links from all over the web.
Like someone said in the comment:

Building quality content and ranking it for even a low-moderate competition KW without linkbuilding is very hard UNLESS you have an authority site, in which case you can rank without links (i.e. Apple can write an article on probably anything and rank it based on authority). If you don't believe me, try writing (or hiring someone to write) the best article in the world on a brand new domain and try ranking it for any keyword that's worth a damn. It won't work.

This forum and Internet marketers in general focus heavily on link-building because we rely on it; 99% of us don't have an aged, highly trusted site that ranks articles based on content alone.

Its ALL about links. If Apple rank an article wont be because they have high authority domain, but because this article will have internal links from a fuckload of strong pages, so its all about links.

The video is retarded. You can have the best content in the world, and yeah you can get some rankings, you can even get a position 1... in 2 years when your content attract enough links naturally. Lets skip that part and build the links, what do you think?

I have seen a lot of their videos, imo they are not wrong.

But, everything is based on keyword research + luck.

What they do is:

Chose a keyword like "best saving creams for money in Florida" link it to bigger article like " best shaving creams for money" and link that to "best shaving cream" and many variations of it.

So the easy keywords rank, bring in traffic...

That flows into other pages, and in 1 year the website get great traffic and get links magically.

This may not work with every niche, the images and content should be top notch not like the websites which are sold here for $30 or 300 :l

And, you should have luck that these small keywords pick up over time or something.

So for me, link building is necessary as I am not a ninja keyword finder. If I was then maybe would have stayed away from these fucking links

(really takes a lot of time)

So I agree with them but I disagree to make sites like that

I disagree. Articles CAN and DO rank based on a domain being highly trusted and authoritative even without internal linking. I know because I've seen it first hand.

Wrong question at a wrong place. Do you think people will agree to this video here on bh forum? The guys on this video has whitehat approach and once you see their videos you will understand that the are really successful ranking their sites and bringing alot of traffic with just content. Some of them are affiliate niche sites which are ranking and bringing in monnies.

If you see their kw research proccess you will see they that not going after super low comp niches and they are actually beating competition with quality content and deep kw research and its much better to focus on kw research and content in the beginning than to build huge amount of links in a competitve niche and have your site penalized within a year and losing your income.

Tbh I have started following their strategy and also tried with one of the page on my amazon based site and its really ranking on page 1 actually its bouncing between page 2 top to page 1 med section. The article length is 5k words and thats what they suggest. To have longgg articles and it will rank for multiple kws.

If your goal is long term you should definetly take a whitehat approach coz if you journies here on bhw most them die within a year bcoz of some penalty. 1 year long journey is the new churn and burn

Yeah show me a single article ANYWHERE that has no links at all (no external nor internal) and rank well. Google is ranking pages, not domains.

While it sounds logical, their approach won't always work.
In most of their videos they talk about one of their authority sites and 4 niche sites. Out if those 2 of them purchased. So they had already links pointing at them.

In low competition niches, their strategy can work. But you will need kiler content that will naturally attract links. And a lot of patience.
