Do unoptimized pages hurt SEO?

Hi guys ,

This might sound weird but the question is - if a site has a bunch of pages / posts that don't have much content and only contain some basic info -can it affect the site's performance negatively ?

Like , some company has a dedicated page/post for each staff member like:

" This is Jack He's cool af .Here's his Twitter"

I don't think it would be a big issue but what experts say?

Depends on the content. Doesn't matter if the content is less or large. If it answers the queries of users and the page loads fast, then it is ok. However, if none of these things are good, then Google won't like it.
