Do tinder/bumble use facial recognition?

You should run another experiment:

Start brand new using pictures of one person (just find someone random on Instagram that you follow).

1. Create multiple accounts (without going through verification)
2. Then create an account and verify that face; intentionally get this account banned
3. Create multiple accounts afterwards (without going through verification)
4. Compare results between accounts created in step #1 and step #3

This assumes that your account creation process is legitimate as you claim (there's many factors that go into this: physical device ID, IP, geolocation, warm-up process, etc.). I'm curious to see the results of step #4
I would have done it but the problem is that I don't know how to verify an account that's not mine. You see, I came into this Tinder registration only because I needed it for myself. I am not related to onlyfans etc.

One experiment was very interesting: a guy who profesionally registeres accounts and makes money off of it, he created an account with my NEW pictures - the account got frozen, meaning after 5-7 likes it froze forever.

Then he changed the pictures to another guy's pictures. The account started getting instant likes, went to 30-40-50 likes quickly. The guy said that he was surprised that I didn't get likes even from fakes and scammers who like EVERY man. But even them did not like me, which meant they did not see me in the feed.

This is where we understood that Tinder allgorithm is likely scanning the feed LIVE and stopps any suspicious accounts. Now, because I haven't verified - the algorithm is not sure if this is me or a similar looking man. That's why it just freezes the account to be on the safe side. But it does not ban it completely.

When the algorithm saw pics of another man - it understood that freezing was a mistake and now it let go. And only when we changed back to my pictures - the account froze again.

How do I know that my registration method is legit? Simple. I've created multiple accounts with pictures of other men - almost all of them work fine. They constantly and systematically get new likes, matches, they have dialogs, phone numbers etc. Only the accounts with my own pictures freeze.

I am a bit suspicious about some of the stuff you say. Like the reshaping pictures and it did not work. Why wouldn't it work if the biometric face features are changed? Also, you use your pictures, then get shadowbanned, then change the pictures and get many likes - why would they unban the same account? Seems illogical.

Then, no Bumble? What?

Is this Tinder Corp writing to figure out stuff to make their system better?

Come on man. after my struggle to call me a Tinder Corp ? :) such an insult
1) I live in a country of 3 million people in Eastern Europe. We only have Tinder here as a working platform. You can register Badoo and Bumble but there are 200-300 girls overall on there. Useless. On Tinder there are tens of thousands of hot chicks who never download Badoo or Bumble here.

2) If I reshape my face too much, I become ugly, if I do a little bit - the machine recognizes me still. They have a very advanced machine. So again, if I go to the extreme with liquify - I get so ugly that no girl would like my pics. If I use liquify a little bit around lips and eyebrows - it is not enough to deceive the facial recognition software. It's very advanced, as I see.

3) Why would they unban the account? I don't know either. I was surprised just like you are. But the fact is that the account worked with pics of another man not mine. And the difference was substantial (not in looks but in results).

I've been doing it for 2 years now. Hired a speecialist from Colombia, Poland. In the USA I could not find anybody. Do you know what I want more than anything? I want to be wrong about biometric ban. I wish I was wrong and this all was not the case. But the more I tried, the more evidence I got to be sure that this is the case, unfortunately.

The only thing I can think of is to somehow take pics where I look great without showing my full face. Which is very hard to do. And even here, I am sure there will be girls who report me for multiple accounts. Because a human can still recognize me. So no solution yet.

Hello have you found workaround to have a new working account ?

Hey man! I know this topic is old but it's really interesting. I came here by googling for a possible solution, i think that Match group is indeed using face recognition and also storing biometric data even after months.

A little background: i started to use Tinder during the pandemic, verified my account and closed and reopened it multiple times out of boredom, i didn't know it wasn't allowed. I don't know if i'm shadowbanned or my ELO is set to lowest possible but after many hard resets (new email, new phone number, new device, new pics) Tinder can still track me, my account works for few hours and after that i don't have any new matches or likes and my matches stop responding abruptly. Also i found that if i use a boost the app relinks me to my old matches...this is really shady. Last time, one year ago, i contacted support asking a for complete data deletion as GDPR (i live in EU). They replied that it was done.

Just to be sure i waited for a year, tried a week ago for the last time. Again, new photos, new android id, new email, new phone number, different IPs, double checked everything...same result. It's clear Match group is still retaining my face data and also it's not complying with GDPR (i live in EU). If only i can prove that i'll sue them, i swear!

If anyone will ever find a solution let me know

I have seen a documentary once about this situation that when your account is new gets more matches and so on. The point was:
They do this on purpose to make people pay for premium. Think about their clients = lonely man
They have no interest in their clients to find matches because they will run out of business.

This is completely understandable and makes sense...they're a public company listed on wall street too...but this is clearly a scam. If i pay for platinum and use a boost the app relinks me with my old matches, people who i date and met in person months ago and wouldn't send me a like for sure, some are even in another country. A friend that is clearly less desirable than me got at least one match a day, even after months.

Also i started to use hinge, different app but same owner...i still got matches and likes after months, but i don't know if it will lasts

I take it you're not verifying your profiles? Where you need to take a photo to prove that it matches the ones you're uploading?
