do the subdomain get the authority from main domain?

If I make one subdomain of one spammy website, will the subdomain mark as spammy/penalized site?Or if it's a good website, will it get the authority of that domain?

according to the moz bar, subdomain and domain have the same DA !

but i've heard a few videos and read some blogs that subdomains don ' t get the same DA for google!

so let me know what you are going to find out !

no i was thinking like.. if I buy one good old domain and make a subdomain from it .. will the subdomain rank as good as the domain would?

From my experience. No. But again, this is anecdotal evidence.

In addition to the various things already mentioned, also wanted to add that your interlinking will likely influence the extent to which the subdomain affects the main domain and vice versa. If there are no internal links between the two, you're basically talking about a completely different website. If you're linking to the subdomain constantly from the main site (and vice versa), there's a good chance you'll see a different outcome.

Sub domains are treated a bit differently.
