Do the prepaid (throwaway) cell phones work for PVA's?

I spent a little while searching for a post about this but I only found one where one person mentioned that it might not work so I'm wondering about this before I go and buy some prepaid phones... do they work for most PVA verifications? From what I understand you can either buy a cheap throwaway phone that has some minutes on it or use an old phone and buy a prepaid plan, any difference on this? Thanks for any info

thanks, I had been searching for a while but haven't found much about using the throwaway phones, I'm not interested in calling people or playing other games to get PVA's, well from searching google it seems you can get the throwaway phones as cheap as like $10 a phone so this would actually be cheaper than buying PVA's considering I can use one phone for multiple sites and a PVA for craigslist alone is running like $6

If you just need one, yes they definitely work for phone verification. Good way to cut down on business costs.

Get the prepaid, use it to get a pva, and then flip the phone to a friend who sells. They'll be happy to get a free burner.

These phones start at $10 and usually have several mins included.

I dont see why they wouldnt work...I mean a phone number is still a phone number i either way.
