Do subdomains automatically rank lower than root domains?

Lets put this in simple black and white.

If you have a website such as

https://www.youwebsite.com and this is a DA50 domain

If you then create a sub-domain such as

https://blog.yourwebsite.com.au anything you post on .blog will be regarded as DA0 content

Simple

So how can you solve this and get your link juice over to the sub-domain you may ask?

The answer. Create internal links. Make sure you have a hyperlink from the "FRONT PAGE" of your root domain that points directly to the root of the blog sub-domain. And also do this for subsequent articles also. This should carry over about 80% of the roots authority.

No... www is a subdomain.

Then don't use it is as a subdomain. Use FORCE WWW.
Then it wont be classed as a sub-domain

It is a subdomain a lot of peiole don't understand that... Thats why when in website settings you choose non www version over www version you can't acess the www of your site and it has to be made ti redirect to naked domain.Subdomains will improve your search ranking and website traffic significantly. Search engines recognize subdomains as completely separate web addresses from your root domain. So, you can use your subdomain to get new traffic and send them to your main site. For owners of smaller sites, it doesn't really matter whether you choose to use “www” or not. For larger sites that want to take advantage of flexible subdomain layout, “www” can be a good idea..

I, personally, use www and I force it.
No problem... but... www is still a subdomain.

Does anyone remember our old school spamming doorway pages on sub domains? is this still ok to ddo so?

a subdomain not will rank higher than the root main domain.

Say you have a short fantasy name domain lime trulia or blabbler ...

you have a category page on them for your different service: seo,ppc,smm, web design .....

then link from the category page content to your subdomains like;
seo.trulia.com
ppc.trulia.com
videos.trulia.com

when someone types the keywords from your main site in google, all the other subdomains will showing up in the serps too, you see that with hubspot.

with this you build serp properties....

or this method works better:
use multi domains who have similar name:
truliasvideo.com
truliashow.com
truliabestppc.com.....

Is this a better idea?

Or you have multiple domains each have it's own short fantasy name, does this work?

like this:
babbler(ppc)
squick (seo)
blubbs.com ( videos)

which method will work best to show up multiple times in the serps with the keywords from the main site to dominate serp?

Depends on the format of your site. This is the key to unlocking the power of subdomains.
