So, youtube started paying for shorts (outside of the fund they announced).

Does anyone have any info about $/1000 for US - for shorts?

They pay very less compared to long videos. But they are a good medium to attract lot of audience.

Judging by the way some popular channel owners are complaing on-video, I'd say no, they don't pay well

My earnings from shorts are very low. They will improve the program in future with time and pay will also increase.

most content creators on reddit complained about 0.05$ to 0.07$ RPM
but that's just for the newely monetized channels, i'v seen people post about 1$+ which is far too real for a video that short
