Do shortened links pass link juice

Hi, I was wondering, if I use a link shortening service will this diminish the link juice being passed on?

I'm not certain about this but I from my point of view it should not.

We could get link juice from web2.0 but I do not think shorten link will get that.
As Google know there is no real content and he does not like anything hidden like cloaking.

In my limited experience if you set up your very own custom link shortner that Google isn't familiar with and hasn't been overused all over the Internet then I have found that there are benefits. At the very least it's a good way to promote your sites on comments sections if Akismyt has already marked your site as comment spam.

It does not pass link juice.

It pass, because the redirects are 301.

I agree with robibrk URL shorteners use 301 redirect so authority is passed. Google have stated this to be true but sometimes not all anchor text authority is passed. See video.

I had a particular question and even though I have searched and found similar questions, I can't seem to find an answer for this specific one.

I have an account with Zimbio for example. I have multiple pages on that domain and believe the links are do follow (they are according to my plugin). I want to build backlinks to each Zimbio page in order to add "link juice" to them. Naturally, I will have a link on each Zimbio page pointing to the home page of my money site so that the link juice will flow to it. Let's say I plan to have 2 hypertext links on each Zimbio page - one will be the same for all pages and one will change for each Zimbio page.

What I am wondering is will each Zimbio page really be able to pass link juice through both links?

For the hypertext that is repeated on each of my Zimbio pages, I would think no because it is the same link and will be pointing to the money site from the same domain. With the hypertext that changes, I would guess that each would be counted, even though it is from the same domain, same account, and links to the same page on the money site - but with a different keyword. These are my two guesses based on what my understanding is, but I am not sure. I would love to hear confirmation and advice from people who are more experienced that I.

yes.. link juice is definitely passed when you do shortening of urls...

I have seen Matt Cutts answer this in a video somewhere. If the shorting service is pr0perly set up as a 301 redirect it does pass link juice.
