You'll definitely rank higher on Google and AI searches with a positive history of reviews. This is one of the challenges that I'm facing right now for one of my businesses. All the companies that are ranking higher than me have years of positive reviews on Google and trustpilot.

I think that reviews are an important part of the process of local visibility especially if they are up to date and timely reviews are extremely important for gaining people is trust therefore i would include them among the components of local SEO.
