I’ve been thinking about running Reddit ads, but I’ve heard mixed opinions. Has anyone here tested them for niche sites or affiliate offers? Curious about CTR and conversion quality compared to Google or Meta ads.

I ran Reddit ads for my fitness niche site, CTR was decent at 1.5%, but Google’s search ads still crush it for actual signups.

Reddit ads can convert exceptionally well, but their success is highly dependent on a deep understanding of the specific subreddit's culture and user intent. The most successful campaigns are those that provide genuine value, adopt the community's tone, and feel more like an authentic recommendation than a disruptive advertisement. Conversely, generic, corporate-style ads that ignore the context of the subreddit are often met with cynicism, downvotes, and poor performance, as the user base is highly resistant to traditional advertising.

Agreed, reddit apps can do well if you match the tone of the targetted subreddits

Best results come from very targeted subreddits. Board targeting wastes money.

Reddit ads can work for niche stuff if your targeting's tight, but CTR and conversions are usually lower than Google or Meta in most cases.

I’ve tested Reddit ads for niche sites and affiliate offers. CTR can be decent, but conversion quality varies by targeting. It’s not as polished as Google or Meta, but if you get the right audience, it can work well.

CTR is okay, but conversions really depend on how well you target specific communities. Not as smooth as Google or Meta, but worth testing if you find the right niche.

Reddit’s strength lies in its niche communities when you nail the targeting, it can surprise you, even if it’s not as polished as bigger platforms.
