Polls still increase interaction but are no longer as "buffed" as before, so effectiveness now depends a lot on the quality of the accompanying content.
It does. However if you want your page to be seen by more people, then I am not as sure on that; but, its a good way to see who voted on the poll to see which users actually engaged so you have an idea.

For LinkedIn specifically? It still sort of does that, just not in the same way it used to. These things tend to come in and out of trend, though I suspect there's a lot of other underlying factors like audience, topic, etc. that would affect it overall.
