LOL why not just say that in the first place than? Everyone prefers vBulletin because it has tons of mods/add ons and has the most options.

Anecdotally speaking, phpBB seems to be much more popular (maybe just do to its age). SMF however may have more features that you need, see a http://www.forummatrix.org/compare/bbPress+miniBB+phpBB+SMF+vBulletin for more information on features.
SMF also is known for being much easier to install and use. I have used phpBB in the past but I think that I would go with SMF in the future.
