Do people still use SOCKS proxies?

I have a domain and considering selling proxies with it.

Most of the existing SOCKS providers can still afford Google Ads, so there must be something to it.

I want to avoid being misled into building another website for proxies that aren't in demand.

Is there still a market for quality or cheap SOCKS proxies?

I think it's still https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?q=socks%20proxy&geo=US.

also you shouldnt have posted that link as it will refer to a site
product you would be selling under , thus in violating of bhw tos
you should have said

Code:
have a domain and considering selling proxies with it.

as only payed sellers can promote there sites on bhw

Thanks again, proxycop

not knit picking just its in bhw rules - no selling or
promoting for yellow members, less they become
a vip or market place seller.

Plagiarism applies when ideas are copied. copyright violation occurs
only when a specific fixed expression is copied

do you just randomly post stuff, we went from socks proxies to Plagiarism

Since the mods removed it, the domain is an exact match for "socksproxies", so it'd be relevant to the socks proxy market..

From what I've heard, SOCKS proxies are still in use

They are still in use but you will not find a lot of buyers who needs them. You should be fine as long as you know who and where to find the right target audience.

I may be wrong, but ALAIK, SOCKS is easier for ISP to figure proxy is being used and block it, but it allows tunneling DNS calls as well. Chromium seems to not support username authentication on it.

HTTPS proxy behaves for sniffers just as normal websites over HTTPS, so it has higher chance of passing thru, but ISP may still sniff your DNS queries.

How's market demand for either, I have no idea. If I can choose, I go with SOCKS5.

are socks proxies still used, yes. are they as in demand as http proxies,
probably not

The SOCKS proxy server doesn't interpret the network traffic between client and server in any way, it is often used because clients are behind a firewall and are not permitted to establish TCP connections to outside servers unless they do it through the SOCKS proxy server

They are in use. For what I know, mostly for streaming, so there is a niche there for sure.

Hello, im looking for 5 proxies ipv4 socks5 in order to use in botting could you show me some providers please ?

I've heard that socks is most often used for software.
Let's say you have some software and you want to use it together with a proxy. You configure it all via proxifier. And sometimes https may not work with this software, while socks5 is fully compatible
