If so, how do they do? Is that even possible?
I need to promote my crypto platform. That said, I don't want to use cloaking since it is illegal and could bring me issues.

No, since most Crypto projects are considered as BH. And btw, I have no idea where you heard/saw that but cloaking isn't illegal per se. Being against the TOS doesn't mean against the law

Since you don’t want to use cloaking, focus on developing more advanced creatives that talk about crypto in an educational way. Make sure they don’t look too salesy.
 
Just have a landing page. Normally the platforms AI will detect if a link is direct; however if there's a landing page, then that's fine.
