Everyone here said lots of good stuff.
I have the similar feeling as you do. I understand you spent many years to do this online business. It didn't work as you expected. However, I have to say ' we're not really good at estimate how long one thing should take." Furthermore, we also don't know how short it could be. For example, can you tell me 5 years ago the same day aka. today, what were you doing? Maybe you had a lunch with a friend. and you may feel it feels like yesterday. In contrast, you feel forever when it comes to the investment of time you put into online business.
Why? Because people who are suffering generally think time passes slowly.
I disagree with others saying that 'time wasted." it's not helpful for people like OP who are frustrated and ask strangers like us for advice, comfort.
Again, I suspect you used the wrong mindset aka "Online business is the get rich scheme. " because you mention "scammers always win." I have to say unfortunately we don't know what their life would be if they ascendingly get rich by scamming people. I hope at least I wouldn't let money make me a bad person.
Getting an offline job is probably a good idea for you to cool down and think clearly of what you want.

If you've been trying this stuff for five years, you are definitely not lazy, but there is also definitely something wrong with your approach if you have been doing this for that many years, and have not even made your first dollar.
That's a bit disturbing, actually, and that makes it sound like there is something you are not sharing with the public, which is clearly sabotaging your success.
Since you have experience trying different things, I would suggest that you dial things back, and focus on providing services for a while.
If you wanna make your first dollars, offer to make simple HTML websites for $5 or $25 over on Fiverr.
I would even pay you your first dollars, if you were willing to undercut the rest of the market, and provide a good product.
Making your first dollars is not difficult.
Creating a consistent system of recurring income is what you have to figure-out.
Try undercutting the market on Fiverr for a while, and then increase your prices once you get fifty some-odd good reviews.

5 years of experience is enough to familiarize the pattern. From that, you can already differentiate of what's the real deal or what isn't. Lucky for you for you have came to the right place for suggestions and guide. Don't lose focus just because of these failures. Use it to learn, grow and then conquer!

Maybe the answer lies in the fact that you didn't stick with one or two options, but you started a bunch of them, without waiting to see some results. I understand that you want to see big results in a short time, but it's not possible, especially nowadays when things online have changed drastically. You could think, do some research and find some sphere where you think you could achieve the most. Then you should try to upgrade your skills, learn more, try different things, invest maybe some money for advertising in the beginning and be more patient. This approach was successful for me, so I would recommend not to go too wide, see where you are most comfortable with and stick to it.

You just need to start selling and the rest will come it does not have to be anything big.
I started with selling WordPress building services in 10th grade just publish an ad in your local classifieds with something you know how to do with 5 years of experience online there should be something you know how to do. Even if you think that it's simple it does not mean that business owners know how to do it, setting up a simple business webpage for example. Or if you don't have any skills you can try to resell services that are in the BHW marketplace. One of the best ways to learn things is by spending money (or just getting them somewhere) on legit courses, udemy for example, not different methods that won't be successful if you can't put your own twist on them and you won't be able to put your own twist on them if you don't have skillset or experience.
My first 4 websites were failures but I learned a lot along the way.
Just don't give up!

This. When I first started online, I worked non-stop to the point where my wife almost divorced me. It was 7 days a week, 12-16 hours per day. Took me at least 10 years until I could finally relax. Now I can be lazy whenever I want because I earned it. I used to feel extremely guilty being "lazy", but now I give zero fucks. If I want to sink into my couch on Saturday and watch Football all day, so be it. If I want to take a day off and go to the beach, I do it. You have to earn the right to be lazy. Concentrate on one thing. Get really good at it, make money from it, then move on. Work like your life depended on it. Once you become good at marketing, making money is pretty easy.

I think that your problem is the fact that you switch from one activity to another pretty quickly without having a deep understanding. I recommend you to stick to one thing and keep on learning about and experimenting. Surely, not all of the people succeed fast. Some people need time to be a success online.

For majority of people the story will be same like you. I can just say that some people here make very good money online. You will have to start thinking like them only if you also want to earn money online.
