I just used Canva for the first time and can’t believe people are actually comparing it to the likes of illustrator and photoshop. What is that all about?

Comparing canva to adobe I would be mad that day. Adobe have the best tools.

Nope, I use canva pro for basic stuff.
Adobe for others...

I used to love adobe back in the day. They lost me 100% when they shifted to this modern bullshit "you must subscribe and pay annual fees" model. Like fucccckkkkk youuuuuu.... For years plenty of companies made a fortune selling a product that you bought ONE TIME. And they had better service back then.

Sorry, touchy subject!!!

You can follow the designs of Canva on Photoshop, but you cant necessarily follow designs of Photoshop on Canva.

I would not really even consider them to be the same type of tool frankly.

Canva is like a design crutch tool. I feel like it's more meant for helping people hack together bits from templates for the severely artistically challenged. (Yes, artistically gifted folks have done amazing things with it.)

Actual alternatives to photoshop are things like paint.net (fucking love it, honestly unless you are an actual artist it can do everything you actually need to do, much easier than photoshop and it's free) and the gimp (don't love it but it's a very powerful tool, the issue is it has a steep learning curve like photoshop, however it is free and powerful as fuck.)

Agree you can to a Lot With Paint. People dont Know how powerful it is

Adobe is like designing a website from scratch or using scripts, one should know the basics to start designing

canva is like designing a website using wordpress, anyone can easily design using their template, even easy to learn

adobe subscription pays for itself. Completely unparalleled

I pay the full Adobe pack at the student/teacher price with a student email.
And press the cancel button every three months and they often automatically offer 2 months for free.
It costs little at the end of the year by doing this way. But you have to use that technic once in a while because the price will automatically double after a year if you don't press the cancel button.

Canva rocks for basics.
My gf fastly creates promo banners for her shop using this tool and she calls pain in the a*s using adobe for simple tasks

Hey guys,
I use Canva to create high quality landing pages for affiliate marketing, but unfortunately I have a problem. Every time I create a website, insert my hyperlinks, and publish it. Following happens:
I‘m testing everything. So I click the hyperlinks and a pop ups „you are leaving Canva“ opens up. ( Not really the best thing, when you do affiliate marketing) Do you know how to fix that? And get rid of it?
