Do online partnerships last long ?

In the current times, people even betray their friends and family members. At such is it worth getting into online partnerships ?

Well it will depend who you partner with.. but why would you need one in the first place? I work alone .. why share your earnings with a stranger..

it depends on you and your partner's trustworthiness......in business basically trust doesn't work, system works

I have had 2 experience both with adsense.

In 2015 I got a offer from a USA guy for my website at 60/40 percent of the revenue. That time it was not easy to get approved the Adsense account, so I said okay. In 2016 I got my adsense approved and was using my Adsense only. He stole the domain (he bought it) and I lost everything.

In last year I got partnership with a company for Adsense, this year I got offer from some other company at 10%. So I decided to discontinue with the old company, and old company sent me a fake email from Google, where they are saying that Google charged them $600. I have to pay $600 to the old company. I didn't got my last month payment.

Depends yes and no you need to verify your partner details and only if you’re satisfied go ahead but even then It’s not guaranteed

IMO and experince it won't last for more than couple of years. There might be one or two exception

Having a partner offline who is a digital geek just like you will be more good,yes and yeah online partnerships and business do work but not always!

What I do for the people who work with me is pay them on a daily basis,let's say they have a month so they get paid daily for the work they do.Next day they don't do the work,it's simple they don't get paid or if they scam me,I don't care because I didn't lose much here.Also once you find some trustworthy guys,stick with them and for any work you need to get it done,ask them itself and get people through their referrals so you are sure that this shouldn't be a scam and the guy who works with you and bought you a referral will know that yeah I trust him and most probably he won't break the trust as everyone likes to have a long term relationship.

For example,if it's a big deal then use a middleman/escrow always.If it's a bot development,don't pay upfront and pay only after testing the bot(here the person should trust you to work like this).

Whatever partnership it is,you must be aware of it's in's and out's,how scams occur and how you can prevent them and only then move forward.

Yah, honestly, it is probably betrayal because with family and friends there is a high level of personal involvement. You can get into the same trouble with any type of arrangement, digital or real.

The digital world can be riskier, though people in person are just as willing to scam you if they can.

The distinction isn't in the person you are dealing with, but rather, in the way you protect yourself and your assets. Each partnership needs to be given respect, trust, and protection to the degree of risk and reward that is offered.

So, to answer your question, yes, it is always worth getting into a worthy partnership, real or digital. I guess the hard part is knowing what "worthy" really means.

It depends. Whether it is offline or online, if involved parties deflect from the main goal or have multiple gigs then it can be very difficult for a long term partnership.

Experienced businessmen know that partnerships are fragile and they safeguard it with a legal document and key person insurance as well.

But when it comes to beginners or even starting something on a shoestring budget or an experimental venture then you gotta take a leap of faith, because you got to take calculated risks and learn and in process become wiser and stronger.

Wouldn't trust anyone unless its someone close.

I started in 2004. Till now have worked with 3 guys and I still work with 2 of them.

1 guy is retired now, but we are still good friends.

I have visited them all in their countries and they have always paid me on time and have never doubted me or asked for any work report or anything.

I guess online partnerships are a 2 way thing. If you are honest and hard working (with some common sense) then it usually works out.

There were some side projects in between and some of them didn't paid me after I finished their coding. But they dragged themselves back to me and said sorry and paid full before moving on with their lives. (That is why I mentioned some common sense, always keep an ace up the sleeve if you are dealing with unknown people)

Man they likely work as well as they would in real life. Obviously some people betray others, but not everyone. I've worked with a friend in the past and I would trust me life with him. But the reason we split was because we had different visions and work rates. But one guy screwing the others had nothing to do with it.

It really depends. Try short term partnerships with them first and move for bigger one's after gaining the trust.

you need to look at many things, at least the background

as many have mentioned, you do need to check who you getting involved with. I'd avoid and ignore what says on linkedin about people for this purpose.

There's a very high chance it won't, think first why are you even asking this, do you really need a partner or just got fascinated about this idea and secretly thinking your partner will hold your hands and do the most work.

Most of the online business can be started without a partner.

You just have to make sure you're not partnering with people who are fucking desperate. Uncover the background of the people you might work with and ensure they are financially stable as a minimum.

You can tell when you talk to people if they're scum or not.. err on the side of caution and only partner with people you get the right vibe from. It's how they discuss the idea/partnership/concept.. if they have genuine passion or interest in the concept and don't just talk about money, you've got a better chance of them not trying to bend you over at some point.

People are simple - what do I get for me if I do option A (might be working hard together, creating a strong business), or what do I get if I do option B (might be stealing your domain name, idea, money). If people see that option A will lead to greater personal benefits than option B, (ie people will get more from working with you than screwing you over), then they will choose option A.

If you work with "good" people, they won't screw you over even they make more from doing it. If you're that kind of person (ie you don't fuck other ppl over and are passionate about the work you do) people get that vibe, and it's easier to attract more of the right people instead of the sea of swines that unfortunately populate the interwebs.
