Do older Quora answers continue bringing traffic ?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if older quora answers still bring views and traffic over time or if most of the engagement comes shortly after posting.
Have you seen answers continue to get views months or even years later or do you post new answers regularly to stay active ?
Would love to hear your experience.

Yes, I still have some old answers that continue getting views months and even year later.

In my experience, good answers on evergreen topics can keep bringing traffic for a long time. However, I still post new answers regularly because it helps keep the account active and gives more opportunities to get visibility.

I also update older answers from time to time if the information becomes outdated. Sometimes that alone can help bring them back to life.
 
I would not rely solely on older content. The most consistent growth usually comes from a combination of maintaining a library of quality answers and regularly publishing new ones. New answers create fresh opportunities, while older high performing answers can continue generating steady traffic in the background.

I would say focus on answering relevant questions ,monitor which topics perform well, and update valuable older answer when new information becomes available.
 
Older answers definitely pull heavy traffic, but only if they rank on Google SERPs for intent-based keywords. Stop chasing random broad questions inside Quora. Use a tool like Ahrefs to find specific Quora threads that already have strong organic search traffic, drop an updated value-packed answer there, and you will get passive passive clicks for years without posting daily.

Older answers can still bring traffic if they rank well on Google or keep getting upvotes, Imo.

I've seen answers continue getting views months later, but posting new answers consistently definitely helps too.
 
Quora never helped my clients in the first place. Felt like it was more hype than anything else. I would not recommend anyone to waste time with that old platform.

I have seen some answer get a small boost after updating them, but it is not something that happens every time. Most of the time I update them mainly to keep the information accurate and useful.

As for topic lifespan, I have noticed that evergreen topics tend to last much longer. Things like career advice, business, health, personal finance, and how-to questions can keep getting views for years. Trend-based topics usually get a lot of attention initially, but the traffic often drops much faster once people lose interest.

Yes older Quora answers to bring traffic even after a couple of years have passed. The ideal though would be to post new answers so they also bring traffic as well.
