Something I noticed while working on a few link building campaigns recently, sometimes placing a link on an older article that already has some traffic seems to work better than putting it on a brand new post.
I guess it makes sense because older pages are already indexed and sometimes have a bit of authority built up.
On a couple of sites I worked on, links from these older posts felt like they helped rankings move a little quicker.
Just something I’ve been noticing lately. Curious if others here have seen similar results or if you prefer getting links on fresh posts instead.
