Do noFollow links still pass authority?

So you all know how authority is the other side of the coin (with the first side being PR), but what are your thoughts about noFollow links and authority?

Say I found a wiki with a good pr, good domain age, good number of pages with good content, and I manage to get my link on it.

It's noFollow so it won't give PR, but what about authority?

It's hard to think that google d evaluates all links from wikipedia for example.

They do, for sure. Like you said links from wikipedia are highly valuable even though they are nofollow.

I don't know if there is any proof, but I have a lot of nofollow links to my sites, and if they do nothing then it seems that I only need about 500 links to get #1 for a competitive keyword!

You have to get all links ******** and nofollow but its basic info

Thanks guys, I dropped some links on wikipedia. Hope to see some change in my rankings.

I personally think they are important to have mixed in with regular links so as to show a balance.

They do pass authority, post only nofollow links to new domain and check rankings.
