i run an authority site i make about $150+ a month on. i post 2 new articles per week. wondering if i should stop posting to this site and start creating micro niche sites.

i've read google is slapping them hard. what are you opinions? should i stick wtih my current site or start doing MNS?

You could still make 2 posts a week to your current site & try out a MNS? this is what i would do anyway lol

unless your posts take a lot of hours to make?

Do both. They're still profitable so If you can handle it, go for it.

i outsource my posts so it only takes me a bout 15-30 mins to clean them up and add photos i find from flickr.

can anyone recommend how to find good micro nich site keywords using Market Samurai? I can't find anything online showing how to read the various percentages and numbers to lead me in the right direction.

for example, should i first look for a broad term like "guns" then click on the highest SEOV word that comes up and then filter down that way? always looking for highest SEOV or what? has to be a way to choose the right word and narrow down.

thanks for your input.

if i find several keywords in the same niche. is it a good idea to link those sites together or no?

Course micro niche sites are still profitable, there are thousands of new niches appearing everyday. It's just finding those niches out before everyone else does.

It still works, if you need MNS services check BST section here.

There is no end for MNS. You just need to do proper keyword research and alter your link strategy frequently to avoid penalties. I still have many MNS which I never updated for long.

MNS still work today.

Keep in mind Penguin targeted sites that built links using no anchor diversity, or using the same anchor text over again. For this reason, many MNS went down since some webmasters only built links with the same anchor text. This is what caused the false perception among the community that MNS don't work anymore.

However, I don't see them being stable for the future. Better off to start building a few authority sites.

I actually planning on build MNS completly whitehat.
No link spamming, no other "blackhat SEO".
It will take alot longer to rank but I am hoping for some stable sites instead of "all or nothing sites".

MNS Still WORK.But you need to tweak it a bit.

Just keep one basic principle.Provide Visitor with Valuable info and you will benefit.

Yes they still work, just built a site last week and it's already earning like .5$ per day now.

The keyword you target is the key here, as it's already spelled KEYword :D

Scale up what you got. You've got something a lot of people on here don't - a money making site.

i guess i am thinking of building more of a tiny authority site. instead of a 3 page site i figured i would build a 10 page site for each keyword i find. do you think that is a better strategy than 1 - 3 page sites?

mns work but new penguin is coming :(

Don't fall for all of the illusions Google is tossing out into the public. Forget about penguin and think about how you are going to adapt for the approaching time when page one in Google's SERPS are nothing but paid links. Such a time will end the reliance many have on organic traffic from Google and those that prepare shall survive.

Or, do both together. Plan an authority site that covers 15-20 related niches. Write/order 5-10 articles per niche keyword, and re-write each one at least once. Put the originals on the authority site, and the rewrites on 15-20 different MNS separated by niche (or post the originals on the MNS, the rewrites on the AS). Make twice as much money, from one period of work. Sell either the MNS or authority site later, depending on your preference, while keeping the other for long term income.

Or, load the page with filler content that isn't worth anything at all, and cloak the landing page to something more pretty ;)
