Hi Guys! This week was really hard for me. We had a lot of work with new affiliates.
Whole week I was thinking about a marketing plan. Clever people say that memes should be a part of entertainment marketing. I want to hear your opinion about it. How do you think it works?

Here are couple of memes for seed :)

The first is your audience if you're trying to reach a younger demographic then using memes might be a good idea they're more likely to engage with content that's funny and relatable however if you're trying to reach an older demographic then you might want to steer clear of memes they could see them as juvenile and unprofessional
So what's the truth? Well it depends

Well, it does work. In fact, it does wonders. I have a friend who works in real estate marketing. The funny part is: I suggested him to start making memes for entertaining marketing. He listed to me, and know is dealing with millions of dollars trade.

If you run an affiliate program and you want your affiliates to use memes it can work provided there is some sort of tracking mechanism.

Usually, memes don't have this, it's just a funny picture or an edited video clip and there's no way of telling where they came from or who put them out.

While it's good to see memes as a form of powerful viral content, the tracking mechanism is lacking.

If you were to put some sort of watermark that's customized, it's a hit or miss because most of the time people see a meme on their Facebook or social media feed they get a laugh, or they're pushed to think, or they're mindblown and they go on to the next piece of content.

That's how fast social media works so in that context I don't think memes will work as far as affiliate marketing goes.

With that said it can work as part of a branding campaign.

As someone mentioned above, it all depends on the audience you have. For some it's good, for some it's a perfect match, for others is a total bullshit and lack of taste. But mostly, people love memes. It's a must have to make your customer emotional about you.

We have driven over 200 millions meme views for major tech companies and influencers.

MEMEs definitely work!

Memes are an easy way to get low level engagement and branding on social media. You don't want people to just look, laugh and like. It needs to be quality memes that are both funny and make viewers want to click on your account. Once you get them there you need to give them a reason to follow or jump on your CTA. You can do well branding if you consistently post memes plus your "real" content. If you're just posting to get them to your account, you need to make your CTA highly visible and engaging.

A good thing about a meme focused account is that you can capture followers within the industry who might not be who you ultimately want to click through but they will give you a base of organic followers who will engage.

Humor and memes are suitable for almost any business topic. Most people love memes. And here the main thing is not to go to extremes, balance and relevance are important in memes.
