Do link exchanges work?

In the past week I've had about 50 sites in my niche or related niche request link exchanges. Do these even work anymore and if so how would it work?

Yes.Of course it Works.But Need to check DA(Domain Authority).It should be good traffic website.
 
Yes but make sure the content is great and relevant for your website/niche.
 
Yes, they do work. Link is a link.

When making a deal make sure you provide a link from a 3rd website. Don't just link from your A to their A. Reciprocal links are a big giveaway. Link from your B to their A.

got it so I can give them a link from my main site but have them link to my other sites? what about a subdomain link my other sites are on a WordPress multisite but they are on a subdomain set up with international cctlds extentions.
 
also, guys, i have a crazy thought. can I get all these guys together and create a pbn. where we all 50+ guys write a piece of content linking to one site in the network then rinse and repeat 50 times could that work??

Yes, exactly.

If their A links to your A it's a so called reciprocal link. Actually, it could be considered the most primitive link wheel.

I would keep the separation on a domain level.

So in the end all 50 units would be linked directly or indirectly?

Plenty of room to mess up there. They might also share tier 2 links you're not aware of.

Haven't received a link exchange request in 15 years.
 
Of course, they still work. I used to do it on a big scale back in 2015 when I started blogging. I did it on a high scale that I created websites just for the purpose of link exchange with the strategy that @tiiberius mentioned.

If you don't have a lot of budgets to buy PBN and guest posts, link exchange can be a good opportunity depending on the niche.
